FISHING TRIPS WITH LIGHT TACKLE

Mackerel / horse mackerel fishing

This is a modality in which everyone can have fun. We will use light tackle and you can fish with both natural bait and artificial lures. Once the school is located, it will be non-stop bites, and very often with multiple catches in the same bite. Half day activity. This activity can be combined with a tour of the coves with a swim and a snack to relax after a hectic day of fishing.

BOOK

Squid / Cuttlefish fishing

Ideal fishing for all ages! We go out in the evenings or very early in the morning, so dress warmly! There are several techniques to fish for squid: anchored, drifting or trolling, with light tackle. Depending on the time of the season, we will use one technique or the other, or even a bit of each. If one thing is certain in this type of fishing, it is that squid are totally unpredictable! And that’s what makes this type of fishing so appealing… To fish for cuttlefish, we will normally drift, with light tackle and very fine rigs. What makes cuttlefish fishing different from squid fishing is that when a cuttlefish bites, you have to nail it! Come with us, and you will see how it is done…

BOOK

Bottom fishing

Entertaining fishing that allows everyone to enjoy it, from the child with the illusion of his first bite, to the veteran with the desire to cook his catch. It can be practised drifting in search of RED BREAM FISH, JACK MACKEREL, MACKEREL, among others, or anchored in a fishing boat in search of more typical bottom fish: RED SCORPION FISH, FORKBEARDS, POOR COD, COMBER FISH, RSINBOW FISH, ESPÁRIDOS, and surely some other surprise… We use light equipment with fine bass with different baits.

BOOK

Light Spinning

In this fishing modality we will use light tackle in search of surface predators, near cliffs and breakwaters, NORMALLY FOR HALF A DAY. Our targets can be BLUE FISH, BARRACUDA, SEA BASS and if there is aviary activity we will go after the LITTLE TUNNY when they are passing through, feeding in the waters of the Gulf of Sant Jordi.

BOOK

Fishing Raons or Loritos

This is a very fine fishing modality, both for the light equipment we will use and for our palate once we have cooked the catch. Fish of high gastronomic value that we will try to catch drifting on sandy bottoms. They are very territorial fish, very brightly coloured and very aggressive when they feel threatened in their home. Half-day activity.

BOOK

Microjigging

This modality is very similar to jigging, but we use very sensitive light equipment, and the objective is also small catches, but being more abundant, it can be a very entertaining day. Normally C&S (Catch and Release) is practised as they are small fish and the function is simply to test our ability to deceive them and our fine equipment at the same time. It is anchored on top of the fishing boat.

BOOK

FISHING TRIPS WITH MEDIUM-SIZED EQUIPMENT

Inshore trolling

Fishing that allows you to enjoy the sea with friends or family, while we wait for the bite, walk around and eat or drink some refreshments. Artificial baits are used on the surface, although they can be used at different depths. Normally 4 medium-sized rigs can be set, and we look for marks on the sounder or even aviaries to warn us of the activity. The roar of the reels gets our adrenaline pumping, and we have to coordinate to bring up the catches successfully and return to tempt TUNA FAMILY FISH, MAHI MAHI, IMPERIAL NEEDLE, SWORDFISH, etc… A half-day activity that can be combined with a tour of the coves, finishing the day relaxing, once at anchor, with a swim and a snack.

BOOK

Bottom trolling

This modality has two possibilities depending on the season: bottom trolling with live bait, and bottom trolling with artificial bait. In the case of live bait, it is quite similar to live fishing, and you have to get up early in the morning to find the ideal bait, normally squid. With artificial bait, you don’t have to get up early and, depending on the season, it’s even more effective, as you prevent the shrimp from destroying the bait. We use medium-sized equipment.

BOOK

Live Bait Fishing

It is a fishing modality that requires a lot of patience, perseverance and early mornings…!!! To fish al vivo, we must first catch the bait, and we will apply ourselves to fishing for squid or cuttlefish. Once caught, we’ll keep them alive in the on-board nursery, and the more we catch, the more bites we’ll have! Then we will move to the fishing boat, and try to locate the predators, (DENTEX, GROUPER, KING FISH, GILT-HEAD BREAM, etc…) to serve them breakfast! We can do it in drifts or staying on top of the spot and we will use medium-sized equipment… This type of bite gets the adrenaline pumping, and you have to nail the fish to be able to bring it up without any problems… Come and experience one of the greatest sensations of sport fishing!

BOOK

Bottom fishing in wrecks

This modality is done anchored in sunken ships between -50 and -200 metres deep. Here we use electric reels mounted on medium and light tackle, a bit thicker than bottom fishing. You have to get up early in the morning to have your gear set at the right time, in search of JOHN DORY, BLACK GROUPER, BLAK SPOT SEA BREAM, and many other bottom fish… You have to take into account that it is very common to cast in the shallows, and you will have to be alert to the bites, to press the button to raise the line and hook the fish without it getting cast in through the holes in the wreck.

BOOK

Jigging / Slow jigging

Jigging is a vertical fishing modality in which we will use medium-sized equipment, with artificial vinyl lures in search of bottom predators, mainly DENTEX and GROUPERS, although small TUNA FAMILY FISH, COMBER FISH AND OTHER SEA BREAMS often also bite. It is based on locating a spot with activity, and casting the lures to the bottom, and then retrieving the reel to a certain depth, to bring the lure back down again, imitating the chase or escape of the fish. You can also use iron or cast lead lures, such as jigg or inchikus, the latter with a pulpit imitating a chase and being very effective. In the case of Slow jigging, the lures used are very similar to jiggs, but with flatter shapes, so that the fall is not so vertical, and imitates a wounded fish. In this modality the tip of the medium tackle is very sensitive, and gives us a lot of information about what is happening at the other end of the line, and at the same time making us enjoy twice as much the bites, when they occur. Half or full day activity.

BOOK

Little tunny chumming

This is a modality in which medium-sized equipment is used in search of the prized bonitos, in such a way that you can anchor or drift, and the fishing boat is baiting in order to attract the shoal of bonitos that pass through the area. A very entertaining combat in which the fish will test our ability to know when and when not to stop our reel, when the fish tries to escape with long runs. This is a half-day activity, as it is usually carried out when the sun is at its highest.

BOOK

FISHING TRIPS WITH HEAVY TACKLE

Giant Tuna Chumming

Heavy tackle fishing par excellence.  Baiting means that bait is thrown into the water, so that the fish can detect it and feed on it. In between the buzzing, the hooked bait is left to drift and the big bite is awaited… The ratchet on the brake of these rigs is ready to play the most beautiful melodies for our ears. A heavenly music that gets our nerves and adrenaline pumping, and which provides an indescribable sensation when combining teamwork and individual combat with these majestic animals, which we will first of all treat with respect, and which we will release once they reach the surface. We have several destinations, and we can spend half a day or a whole day enjoying one of the most radical forms of fishing there is. And we have them right here, on our coasts…

BOOK

Spinning for tuna

Another of the most radical modalities that we can practice, in search of the tuna that migrate along our coasts. It is a fishing in which heavy equipment is used, although much lighter than those used in the baitcasting, as they are prepared to cast artificial lures at a distance… This fishing is based on locating the surface activity of the big tuna such as TUNA AND BACORETAS,… it is not always easy to find them, but once we have located them we follow the activity, trying to cast lures that imitate the fish they are chasing, and we try to nail one of these powerful adversaries, which will put our arms and above all our back to the test… fights that make us forget about everything and that get us hooked despite having to release the catch if they are tuna… we can spend half a day or a whole day.

BOOK

Deep-sea trolling

In this modality you have to travel to the open sea in search of the BIG TUNA, LLAMPUGAS, MARLINS, AGUJA IMPERIAL, and other migratory fish that pass in front of our coasts. We must look for activity in the sounder and possible aviaries that give away the activity of the most nomadic predators of our coasts. Normally we will be here all day in order to make the most of the day’s fishing and we will use medium-sized equipment.
